What the Table Shows
In the months shown, the highest diesel price was AED 4.80 per litre in October 2026, and the lowest was AED 3.60 in July 2026. That is a difference of AED 1.20 per litre. On 5,000 litres a month, a gap of that size changes the pump-price cost by about AED 6,000. This is why a fleet, a camp or a factory cannot treat the diesel price as a fixed number.
How the UAE Diesel Price Is Set
The UAE announces retail fuel prices once a month, and the new prices start on the first day of that month. The announcement usually comes on the last day of the month before. A committee reviews the prices, and the figure follows average global oil prices, plus the operating costs of the fuel distributors.
This is why diesel can rise in one month and fall in the next. When world oil prices move, the UAE price moves with them, but only at the next monthly review. Between two announcements, the pump price stays the same, even if the world market changes every day.
Pump Price and Delivered Diesel
The price above is the retail price at a fuel station. If you order diesel for delivery to your site, the price can be different. A delivery includes the tanker, the driver and the trip to your site, and the cost depends on several things:
- How much diesel you order.
- Where your site is and how easy it is to reach.
- The day and time you need the delivery.
- Whether you order once or on a regular plan.
For a clear price, send us your location and quantity. The price in your quote is the price for your delivery.
How to Estimate Your Monthly Diesel Cost
The idea is simple: the litres you use in a month, multiplied by the price per litre. The table below shows what the October 2026 pump price of AED 4.80 would mean for three example volumes. It is a guide for budgeting, not a quote for a delivery.
| Litres a month | Pump price cost |
|---|---|
| 1,000 litres | about AED 4,800 |
| 5,000 litres | about AED 24,000 |
| 10,000 litres | about AED 48,000 |
To use it, replace the example with your own monthly litres. If you are not sure how much you use, check the last month of fuel receipts, or tell us what you run on diesel and we help you estimate.
What a Price Change Means for You
A change of a few fils sounds small, but the effect grows with volume. A change of AED 0.50 per litre moves the cost of 1,000 litres by AED 500, and the cost of 10,000 litres by AED 5,000. If your business burns diesel every day, check each new price on the first day of the month, and update your budget.
Budgeting for Fuel When Prices Move
- Budget with the highest recent price, not the lowest, so a rise does not surprise you.
- Review your fuel cost once a month, when the new price is announced.
- Keep a small buffer in your fuel budget for months when the price jumps.
- Track the litres you use, because a price can be fair while your use is rising for another reason.
- Think about a regular delivery plan, so you order the same way each month and can compare months easily.
Should You Wait for a Lower Price?
Nobody can know the next monthly price before it is announced, and we do not try to guess it. Our advice is simple: do not let a tank run low to wait for a better price. A generator that stops, or a truck that cannot leave the yard, usually costs more than the change in the price per litre. Order when you need the diesel, and ask us for a quote.
What the Price Means for Different Businesses
Construction and quarry sites
Heavy machines burn a lot of diesel each day, so site costs follow the monthly price closely. Check the new price before you set the monthly fuel line in your site budget.
Fleets and transport companies
Fuel is often one of the biggest running costs for a fleet. A rise in the price changes the cost of every kilometre, so watch the price when you quote for long contracts.
Generators and standby power
Standby generators use little diesel in a normal month and a lot in an outage. Price matters less than having enough fuel in the tank when the power goes.
Factories and warehouses
Plants that use diesel for backup power or for forklifts and trucks can plan around a regular supply, and check the price once a month.
A Simple Monthly Routine
- On the last days of the month, watch for the new price announcement.
- On the first day of the month, note the new price and the change.
- Update your budget with your expected litres and the new price.
- Compare last month's litres with this month's, and look for a reason if they changed a lot.
- Send us your order, or ask for a quote, when your tank needs it.
Keeping a Fuel Log That Matches the Price
A price table only helps if you also know your own litres. Keep a simple log of each delivery or each fill: the date, the litres and the price you paid. After a few months, you can put your log beside the table on this page. You will see how much of a change in cost came from the price, and how much came from using more or less diesel. That is the first step to controlling your fuel cost.
How We Keep This Page Up to Date
We check the official monthly price after each announcement and update this page. The price shown here is for information only. The date above the table tells you when we last checked it. If you see a price that looks different from the one at the pump, tell us, and we will check it.
Questions
Diesel Price FAQs
What is the diesel price in the UAE in October 2026?
The official retail diesel price for October 2026 is AED 4.80 per litre.
How often does the UAE diesel price change?
Retail fuel prices in the UAE are announced once a month and take effect on the first day of the month.
When is the next diesel price announced?
The new monthly prices are normally announced at the end of the month, for the month that follows. We update this page after the announcement.
Is the price of a delivered order the same as the pump price?
Not always. A delivered order is priced on the quantity, the location and the delivery date, so the figure can differ from the pump. Ask us for a quote and we give you the price for your site.
Who announces the diesel price?
The UAE Fuel Price Committee announces the monthly retail prices. The price is based on average global oil prices plus costs of the distributors.
Can you tell me what the diesel price will be next month?
No. Nobody can know the next price before it is announced, because it follows the market. Plan with the latest price and a small safety margin.
How do I work out my monthly diesel cost?
Multiply the litres you use in a month by the price per litre. For a delivered order, ask us for a quote, because the delivery can change the price.
Why did the diesel price change this month?
Monthly prices follow average global oil prices and the costs of the distributors, and they are reviewed once a month. When world prices rise or fall, the next monthly price tends to follow.
How much would 5,000 litres cost at the pump price?
At the October 2026 pump price of AED 4.80 per litre, 5,000 litres is about AED 24,000. A delivered order can be different, so ask us for a quote.
Where can I see older diesel prices?
The table on this page shows the most recent months. If you need older prices for your records, ask us and we will point you to the official announcements.
Should I wait for a lower price before I order diesel?
We do not advise running a tank low to wait for a better price. A machine or generator without fuel costs more than a small change in the price per litre.
